One More Minute

ONE MORE MINUTE – Written by Carroll Bryant

You came without a warning
You left without a trace
All I have to remind me
Is the memory of your face

The beauty of your smile
The shine within your eyes
Had such delightful innocence
It came as a surprise

The voice I heard that came from you
Still trickles through my ears
The water rolling down my face
Is what some people would call tears

But I call it a loneliness
I never felt before
There is no doubt about it
And now I’m really sure

If I had just one more minute
I would tell you what I’ve always wanted to say
From the first time that I saw you
Never before have I ever felt this way

I can still remember
The day we said goodbye
I fought off confusion
As of yet I don’t know why

I should have just grabbed you
And held you endlessly
I didn’t want to be too aggressive
That is just not me

But why do I feel inside
That I lost what I found?
Stolen by an unknown thief
Taken without a sound

But if I had just one more minute
I would tell you what I’ve always wanted to say
From the first time that I kissed you
Never before have I ever felt this way

Now the hardest part is over
When I had to let you go
The emptiness I feel inside
Is something you’ll never know

So I keep on believing
That I will see you again
Are we just beginning?
Or did we have the end?

I hope I wasn’t dreaming
But then again, who cares?
Because facing mornings without you
Is like facing reality’s nightmare

So can I have just one more minute?
So I can tell you what I want to say?
From the first time I ever held you
Never before have I ever felt this way

What I wouldn’t do for one more minute
So I can tell you what I really want to say
From the first time I ever saw you
Never before have I ever felt this way

So could I please have just …. one more minute?

The Pleasure is Killing Me

THE PLEASURE IS KILLING ME – Written by Carroll Bryant

Oh, the pleasure is killing me
Oh, the pleasure builds inside of me
Take it!

I was caught between a woman and her soft place
Looking face to face
Sister Isis, touch me sweet

“You!” She screamed, with that look in her eyes. “Get out of this place!”

“Well, can’t you tell me why?”

Osiris, you’re such an evil one
You think you’re having fun, but it’s disgusting to me
She said, Osiris, now look what you’ve done
I’m not having fun
You’re disgusting

But the pleasure is killing me
It’s as sweet as it can be
What is so disgusting?
Because you’re not disgusting to me

I was caught between a woman and her soft spot
Trying to decide whether or not I should stop
Or keep on with my trot
The heat just got so hot
And what she wants, I’m not

Osiris, you’re such an evil one
You think you’re having fun, but it’s disgusting to me
She said, Osiris, now look what you’ve done
I’m not having fun
You’re disgusting

But the pleasure is killing me
It’s as sweet as it can be
What is so disgusting?
because you’re not disgusting to me

I was caught between a woman and her soft place
Looking face to face
Sister Isis, touch me sweet

Hallowed Storm

HALLOWED STORM – Written by Carroll Bryant

I close my eyes to find my dreams
And suddenly it all comes together
I fly the skies to hear my screams
You and I … forever

But now I’m walking down the avenue of the damned
Searching for you but you’re not there
And I’m calling out your name
Trying to understand
Wondering if you really care
I wonder if I really care

You touch my heart to feel me breathe
Instantly I feel the pleasure
You run away and far from me
You and I … may never

But now you’re walking down the avenue of the damned
Searching for me but I’m not there
And you’re calling out my name
Trying to understand
Wondering if I really care
You wonder if you really care

But now we’re walking down the avenue of the damned
Searching for love but it’s not there
And we’re calling out for help
Trying to understand
Wondering if anyone cares
We wonder if anyone cares

“And to the love like a candle, we flicker … down the damp hallway of our souls. The bats, they screech like the pain we feel and know to this day, we lost what we had. Lost down the avenue of the … damned.”
